SVC, Drasa take top honours

Swami Vivekananda College and Drasa Avenue School are the respective boys and girls champions of the 2026 Fiji National Schools Swimming Championships, which ended yesterday.

SVC broke its eight-year winless jinx with a haul of 22 gold, 22 silver and 13 bronze medals while Drasa Avenue defended their title with 21 gold, six silver and 12 bronze medals.

The competition ended after its commencement on Friday which saw schools from around the country converge at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre in Suva.

The two-day competition saw a number of records broken, and some major upsets which is a good sign for the sport of swimming.
