The Suva Volleyball Association club competition at the LICI Court in Suva yesterday was played in perfect weather, setting the stage for the last round-robin competition.

As the games co-ordinator Jone Baleilomaloma pointed out, this round-robin marked the culmination of weekly competition, showcasing the incredible talent of 16 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams.

“The dedication and effort displayed by the teams have been amazing, and their hard work has really showed in these weekly competitions,” said Baleilomaloma.

“The tournament has been divided into premier and A grade divisions for both male and female teams adding an extra layer of excitement and competitiveness to the matches, the level of skill and sportsmanship will really boost the level of volleyball in our country in years to come, “said Baleilomaloma.

“The tournament has bought together the volleyball community in Suva, providing a platform for players to showcase their talent and passion for the sport,” he said.

“Looking ahead, the anticipation is building for the Mini tournament scheduled for next year, this will undoubtedly be a thrilling event, bringing together the best teams from the preceding tournaments for an ultimate showdown,” he added.
