Suva dominates Nasinu in EPL, imports shine in win

SUVA Football Club’s dominating performance in the Extra Premier League competition was evident in their impressive 7-2 victory over Nasinu at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Led by the stellar performance of Joe Moses from Vanuatu, Suva took an early lead with goals from Moses and Solomon Islander Gagame Feni.

Although Nasinu’s Ryan Chandra managed to score a penalty kick, Suva maintained a strong lead going into the second half.

Remeru Tekiata and Abhishek Deo, also added goals for the Suva team.

The second half saw Suva continue their dominance on the field, ultimately securing a 7-2 win.

Head coach Brian Singh credited the team’s hard work and outstanding performance, emphasising the importance of sticking to their game plan.

“The boys really did a good job on the field, first half we pushed and taking that lead on the first half was a great motivation for the boys,” said Chandra.

“In the second half the message was the same, just to keep the defence and game plan together, and that what got us the win.”

Despite the loss, Nasinu showed resilience and fought till the end. Singh acknowledged the opposition’s efforts while highlighting areas for improvement in his own team.

“The Nasinu side really gave a good game, they fought till the end, but it was our game, we worked hard for this win.”
