Suva-based American supermarket Cost-U-Less has relaunched its flagship store at Laucala Bay yesterday with its new look.
Store manager Mark Swaney said the upgrades made were driven by customer requests to enhance shopping experience.
“We wanted to upgrade the store to bring the store up to new times, new equipment, new product range,” Mr Swaney said in an interview.
“You know, really catering for our new customers and our existing customers that would come into the store and help us thrive. We’ve listened to our customers and made changes that truly enhance their shopping experience,” he added.
“The upgrades we made to the store did not affect our business, it didn’t affect our employees, we were able to maintain our sales while having the changes made and with these upgrades, we also look forward to employing more staff as the store grows over time.”
The revamped supermarket features lower prices, smarter shopping, easy-to-shop layout, brighter and modern look, inclusion of more fresh and local products, exclusive fresh ground beef, international and household essentials and new and expanded selection of apparel and footwear.
“The plan for the store and for the future of Cost-U-Less is to grow with the community and cater to the community as much as possible by providing value products at valued price and we want to be your one stop shop.”
Celebrations of the relaunching will take place over two weekends from April 4-6 and April 11-13.
The supermarket will hold food sampling, exciting giveaways, family fun activities and exclusive deals and have invited the general public to make use of the opportunity.
