HUNDREDS of people lined the streets of Wellington yesterday to catch a glimpse of the Anzac Street Parade.
The parade, which kicked off at 12.30pm, was organised by the Wellington City Council.
Sunshine beaming down on the capital, light winds and clear blue skies have made for perfect parade weather.
The parade began at Parliament to make its way through the city.
Thousands of people who gathered outside Parliament, and spilled into Wellington’s Lambton Quay, started cheering and clapping as the Anzac Street Parade began.
People could be spotted on top of buildings, to get the best view of the parade possible.
The parade began with a cavalry of military personnel, followed by a pipe band.
