A three-day inaugural Fiji Tourism Investment Summit starts from today until April 1, 2023, at the Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island to promote Fiji’s tourism investment opportunities.

Organised by Investment Fiji and Tourism Fiji in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the summit is set to provide the invited investors an opportunity to meet all relevant stakeholders first-hand to discuss areas of interest when investing in Fiji’s tourism industry.

Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica has encouraged international investors to take advantage of the summit to explore investment opportunities and form partnerships with local businesses.

“Fiji is a renowned tourist destination, and we believe that the summit will help boost the industry and create more job opportunities for Fijians,” said Mr Kamikamica.

The summit will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions on a range of topics related to the tourism industry, including tourism infrastructure development, sustainable tourism, and investment opportunities in the industry.

It will also provide a networking platform for local and international investors, tourism operators, and industry experts.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Viliame Gavoka said, “Our beautiful country offers a range of tourism opportunities, from luxury resorts to adventure tourism, and we look forward to attracting more investors to help us develop these opportunities.”

The summit is supported by HFC Bank and Telecom and aims to attract foreign investment with the potential prospects to increase accommodation in Fiji as well as promote the sustainable development of the tourism industry in Fiji.
