TOURISM Fiji has announced another record-breaking performance through its social media, website traffic and user engagement for the year 2024.

Chief marketing officer Srishti Narayan said they were thrilled with the growth they have experienced across their digital platforms.

“These results demonstrate the effectiveness of our integrated marketing strategy, with a strong focus on digital in promoting Fiji as an irresistible destination,” she said.

“Thanks to the enormous effort of our digital and marketing teams we’ve seen record-breaking numbers. We’re not only reaching more travelers, but also engaging them in meaningful ways online, ensuring that Fiji remains top of mind as they plan their next getaway.”

She said Tourism Fiji has also reported a notable surge in lead generation and clicks on promotional offers.

“The organisation delivered 37,221 leads to local operators, marking a 131 per cent increase from 2023.

“Additionally, the website recorded 27,176 clicks on deals, reflecting a 119 per cent increase from the previous year.”

Tourism Fiji had issued a statement saying the surge in engagement directly benefited local operators by increasing their visibility to potential customers, driving more traffic to their offerings and ultimately helping to boost bookings.

It said its website saw tremendous growth throughout the year, culminating in a record-breaking performance in both November and December.

“For the first time in its history, the website surpassed one million sessions in a single month, achieving 1.38 million sessions in both November and December,” Tourism Fiji stated.

“This marked a 574 per cent increase in November and a 282 percent increase in December compared to the same months in 2023. Tourism Fiji engaged 5.19m individual users throughout 2024, representing a 209 per cent increase from 2023. In total, Tourism Fiji closed the year with 8.93m total sessions, a 313 per cent increase from 2023, a clear indication of the growing global interest in Fiji as a travel destination,” it stated.

“As Tourism Fiji continues to break records and achieve outstanding digital growth, the organisation remains dedicated to expanding its global reach and providing invaluable support to local operators,” it stated.
