Police were deployed to Wainokavula Village in Tailevu following reports that nine houses were destroyed and several people injured as Severe Tropical Cyclone Harold is expected to hit the Fiji group today.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they continued to receive reports from Momi Village in Tailevu and Vusuya Village, outside Nausori of houses being destroyed and people being injured.

Members of the public are urged to call their nearest Police command centre if they needed any assistance and continue to list to all weather and safety advisories issued by authorities.
