Government will announce the 2024-2025 National Budget on June 28.

In the lead-up to the announcement, Finance Minister Professor Biman Prasad said consultations on the budget would continue.

“We’ve had a lot of consultations throughout the country as part of the National Development Plan and so a lot of feedback on the budget came through there,” he said.

“We were in Vanua Levu last week and we can see that the agriculture sector is picking up.”

Prof Prasad said the tourism industry was also booming.

“There is no sign of it slowing down.

The tourism industry is expected to continue to perform beyond expectations.

“We are already projected to do better this year compared to what we did in 2019.”

Prof Prasad said the economy was on the right trajectory.

“We are confident that we will have a 3 per cent growth in 2024,” he said.
