Stage set for annual meet

THE stage is set for the finance, business and accounting professionals to get the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the current business environment and how to efficiently run their operations at this year’s CPA Congress.

The Westpac Banking Corporation and Vodafone 2016 Chartered Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia-Fiji branch CPA Congress starts today and will culminate tomorrow at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa in Sigatoka.

The two-day congress features international dynamic and influential speakers from a diverse range of industries.

Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum will be keynote speaker at the event.

Day one topics include tapping into the power of the mind and improving personal performances, MasterCard journey — experiences on fraud cases, the great leadership challenge — how to entice 30 per cent more productivity from workers, and the ideal infrastructure for health care — tapping the untapped medical tourism.

Day two topics include reinventing technology, creating the right environment for sustainable and quality business growth, international tax — important current issues.

This year’s theme for the CPA Congress is “Connecting the Biggest Mind”.
