Update: 3:35PM HEAVY rainfall resulted in flooding in parts of Cawaci, Ovalau yesterday.
St John’s College principal Father Ekuasi Manu said three
buildings were hit with flood waters, however, this had since receded and a
clean-up of the affected buildings were in progress.
Fr Manu – who is currently in Vuaki Village on Matacawalevu Island in the Yasawa Group – said the matter was reported to him by the school manager.
Meanwhile, he said Vuaki was
presently experiencing strong winds.
“People are staying out of the water because the waves have
picked up and we are getting some light rain from time to time,” he said.
