With more than 440 village-based women’s groups and a membership base of about 9000, the South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) network once again celebrated a successful year with SPBD Foundation Day and the Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2024 celebrations.

While officiating at the event, President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere congratulated the organisation for reaching the milestone of $100million in loan disbursements this year.

He said he was pleased that SPBD was fully committed to empowering its members, especially women in rural and underserved communities.
