TEAMS are filled with excitement as they prepare to take part in the Southeast Zone Secondary School Rugby League quarter-final, scheduled for tomorrow at St Marcellin’s Primary School grounds.

Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Marketing and Media Officer Lai Corerega noted the high level of enthusiasm among the players and students as they approach the SEZSSRL eliminations.

“Players and students are very excited leading up to the SEZSSRL eliminations, especially the under-15 grade, whichever team doesn’t make it this week will wait for next year’s season, otherwise, a lot of preparations are happening this week,” said Corerega.

“Standout teams to watch out for include U15s MGM, Naitasiri Warriors, QVS Knights, and RKS Eels in the U19s Grade, as well as the impressive Marist Storms U17 squad and the up-and-coming Bua College, other notable teams like Shreedhar are also in the mix.”

Fans and supporters are encouraged to show their support in large numbers for their favorite schools and teams during this week’s elimination round at St Marcellin Primary School Grounds.

Concurrently, the WFSSRL eliminations will be taking place in various locations such as Lautoka, Ba/Tavua/Ra, and the Nadroga Navosa Sub Zone.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the grounds for both children above 12 and adults. Teams that successfully qualify this week will secure a spot in the respective Zone quarter-final matches.
