Cyber Food Fiji’s newly revamped app and website are the work of 19-year-old first-time developer Muhammad Saad.
Originally from Pakistan but in Fiji to complete high school, Mr Saad found a passion for software development at only 15 years old, gathering what knowledge he could from Youtube and other online sources.
Having completed a short course in the field at the age of 16, Mr Saad became involved with revamping Cyber Food’s online platforms.
When asked if it was a struggle to work on the app while still in school he said, “It was okay for me because I studied these things in Pakistan.”
“I’m interested in coding, so I like to do these things. (Founder and director of Cyber Food Fiji) Majid is my father’s friend and told my father he needed the app, and he said I could do it,” he said.
At the launch of the revamped platforms, Cyber Food director Majid Shahzad spoke of Mr Saad’s contributions and said he found the work of young Saad to be above the quality of professionals he worked with on prior projects and commended the young man on the bright future he surely had ahead of him.
