Sofitel Swifts won the Lautoka Netball Association Business House knockout after beating Western Titans 7-6 at the Multipurpose court on Thursday night.
The event marked a welcome opportunity for staff members of local businesses to step away from their busy offices and engage in physical activity, promoting health and wellness within the community.
With a primary focus on fostering a culture of healthy living and maintaining both physical and mental wellbeing among participating organizations, the LNA executives were pleased with the turnout during the first week of competition.
LNA president Dorothy Prasad said, “It was a successful turnout, everybody was happy and excited, there was no issues on the night.
“We had good response from teams,” Prasad said.
The competition is scheduled to run for 10 weeks, with anticipation for additional teams to join in the coming weeks, further enriching the sporting experience for all involved.
Chief guest for the evening, Lautoka Special Administrator chairperson Tevita Momoedonu, reminded players of the importance of maintaining strong work ethics and serving the public.
He also extended his appreciation to the business houses for their active participation in the competition, recognizing their commitment to promoting physical health and wellness.
