RESPONDING to an article that our national football team lost to a club team I believe just shows that Simon Hazelman is still not acquainted with the fact that Wellington Phoenix football team is a professional team with professional players from around the world.
They eat, sleep, train and play soccer for a living and are groomed to play football from an early age coming through development programs and going through clinics from football academies around the world.
Yes I totally agree with Simon Hazelman’s idea that we should bring in a women’s team from overseas but let’s be fair to make sure that they play the Savusavu soccer team before they play the national team.
I guess we definitely will be witnessing a cricket scoreline against the magnificent Savusavu soccer team.
