Singh set for top Fiji golf battle

FORMER world’s number one Vijay Singh arrived in the country yesterday and headed straight to test his skill at the amazing Natadola Bay Championship Golf course in readiness for the all-important 2015 Fiji International.

The three-time major championship winner will lead a strong field of local golfers who would compete against some world’s best golfers at the three-day event to commence on Thursday.

The Fijian sensation will be joined by brother Krishna Singh and Dinesh Chand who has won titles at the Japan Golf Tour and Japan Challenge Tour.

Fiji’s newly promoted professional golfer Sam Lee will also get the opportunity to test his skill against the best in the game as he has confirmed his participation at the event.

Veteran Anasa Seruvatu has also confirmed for the event together with the ever impressive teaching professional Bill Suguturaga.

Another notable Fijian golfer set for the event is Tomasi Tuivuna who earned his place at the Fiji International local qualifying rounds. Other big names for the event include Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan and his captain Osea Kolinisau together with playmaker Emosi Mulevoro being invited a guest players.
