It was a normal day’s work for the Fiji Navy with two significant activities underway.
First, RHIB (Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat) activation training progresses at Stanley Brown Base, where the Fiji Navy’s Small Boats squadron engaged in specialised training with US trainers.
The recent delivery of RHIBs from US has been both timely and crucial, enabling Navy personnels to train and develop capabilities with the new vessels.
At the Vuvale Maritime Essential Services Centre (VMESC), The Fiji Navy hosted the Final Planning Conference for the RFMF led Exercise Bougainville.
Attendees include representatives from government, NZDF and ADF and emergency services, with the exercise being led by the RFMF Land Forces Command, which is co-ordinating the event to ensure comprehensive preparedness and inter-agency collaboration.
