Serevi’s biography

My heart rose with excitement when I saw the picture of Serevi, Delasau, Veidreyaki and Satala on social media during the launch of Waisale Serevi: King of Sevens biography.

Their get-together brought memories from the 2000 Wellington 7s at the Cake Tin when Fiji ripped apart the All Blacks to wrest the cup from NZ’s capital.

Then the picture on Serevi’s biography brought memories from that famous 2007 semi-final win against the All Blacks when Serevi, right from our own territory, side-stepped a number of NZ players to make his way to the NZ’s 22 metre line and then after receiving a pass from Volavola, made his way to the tryline followed by tall timber Semisi Naevo and Vucago.

Serevi had scored a wonderful try in extra time to take Fiji into the final against Samoa.

I’m eager to land my hand on Serevi’s biography and read the life of the world’s best 7s player.
