Scots visit Nabua Primary

THE students of Nabua Primary School were given a great opportunity to meet the Scotland Rugby team before their match against the FIJI Water Flying Fijians on Saturday.

Over 700 students attended the event yesterday at school, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the players, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as the students welcomed the team.

The school had prepared dancers to perform for the guests, and the players even joined in on the dancing, much to the delight of the students.

The school principal, Filipe Gonedua, expressed his gratitude for the visit, stating that it was a significant moment for both the school and the Nabua community.

“This is a huge boost to Nabua Primary School and the Nabua community, we also witnessed the Nabua Secondary School who came and join us at the end of the program, which shows how excited the kids are in meeting the Scotland Rugby team,” said Gonedua.

The Nabua Secondary School also joined in on the festivities, showing the widespread excitement for the visit.

The visit was organised through the Fiji Rugby Union, and the school had been preparing for it for the past three weeks.

“For the last three weeks, we have been preparing for this, we can see the children they are so excited, we also have an improvement in our attendance that shows how they were looking forward to meet the team.”

The rugby-loving community was thrilled to have such a prestigious team visit their school.

“This is a big opportunity for the school having a big rugby nation like Scotland to visit, and we are so grateful.”

Gonedua thanked the British High Commission, the Ministry of Education, and the Fiji Rugby Union for making the visit possible.

He emphasised the importance of such opportunities for the children, who were all passionate about rugby.

The FIIJI Water Flying Fijian will host Scotland at 3pm on Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
