After defeating a strong Vusu Raiders side in round four of the Vodafone Super 8 Premiership last weekend, Saru Dragons faces another mountain of a task, when they take on Police Sharks today.

The Police Sharks thrashed the USP Raiders 42-16 at Lawaqa Park last weekend and will be out to put an end to the Dragon’s winning streak.

Dragons head coach Netava Rokoliwa says they were aware of the Shark’s capabilities, but are ready to battle it out this weekend.

“The Sharks are a very strong team, and they proved this last weekend.

“They are very sharp in the attacking phases and will be looking for a win against us,” he said.

Rokoliwa said his players have been going over their game phases and have been sharpening a few edges ahead of their game.

“Training has been going well this week because we know it will be a tough battle.”

He also mentioned that they have managed to pick up on a few weaknesses from their last match, and should be ready by this Saturday.

“I have been telling the boys to be vigilant and aggressive throughout the game. A single gap in our defense could be very costly.”

Rokoliwa thanked all their Dragon fans who had traveled from Saru village in Lautoka to Lawaqa Park just to support the team.

“It means a lot for the boys to see their people from the village out in our team colors cheering them on.”
