Judgement in the appeal of a 43-year-old pastor jailed for sexually assaulting 12 boys has been deferred to June 2 after the presiding judge indicated his verdict was not ready.
Justice Usaia Ratuvili was scheduled to deliver the judgment today but has rescheduled the ruling.
The pastor is appealing a conviction by Magistrate Seini Puamau, which carried a nine-year and six-month prison sentence with a seven-year non-parole period.
He was convicted of multiple sex crimes against children aged nine to 16 in a village under his pastoral care.
The verdict will be delivered at 9.30 am.
