Rosie sets up $2m complex

THE country’s leading tourism operator, Rosie Holidays, commissioned a brand new $2million state-of-the-art engineering complex and fleet depot in Nadi yesterday.

Managing director Tony Whitton said the complex would serve as the nerve centre for Rosie Holidays transportation network, housing a fleet control centre that would monitor the movement of more than 80 vehicles at any one time.

He added that the depot was part of a $5m reinvestment package into Rosie’s transportation fleet.

“When operational, our new engineering complex will ensure that our fleet of 100 vehicles including our luxury tourism transport fleet and Thrifty Car Rentals, will be world-class,” Mr Whitton said. “Put simply, we are investing in new vehicles that will enjoy the best in class maintenance care, the best in class cleanliness and it’s all directed at our customers from over 48 different countries that buy our products and delight in the services that Rosie provide.

“They are assured of a well-trained and knowledgeable driver in brand new, well maintained vehicles of the highest international standard, as they enjoy their transfer to their resort on the big island.”

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Minister for Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya said Rosie Holiday’s brand new depot marked continued investment by the tourism giant in ensuring international visitors enjoyed world-class transportation service.
