Na Turaga Bale na Vunivalu na Tui Kaba Ratu Epenisa Seru Cakobau was reminded that he would need to seek God daily if he wants to successfully execute his role.
While welcoming Ratu Epenisa at the installation service at Ratu Cakobau Memorial Church yesterday, Roko Tui Bau Timothy Daniel said that was the advice he often gave the Bauan chief during their meetings.
In a church filled to capacity, Mr Daniel said the occasion marked the beginning of a new era from when his late father Ratu Sir George Kadavulevu Cakobau was installed in September, 1959.
Mr Daniel said the people of Kubuna confederacy have been waiting in expectation for the position to be filled after it became vacant for many years.
“We are having this ceremony on the 10th of this month. This number for Jews indicates God’s strength and His power.
“It has been 32 years since we installed our chief and this the age when Jesus Christ was crucified.
“I have always reminded Ratu Epenisa that he needs to seek God more, fear Him and serve Him and he will get to see the wonders God will do on our family and the vanua.
“There is no other way to conquer this world, but through God only.”
