THE first ROC Market of the year, yesterday, drew a large crowd and organiser Peter Sipeli says they will look at expanding it come February.
Mr Sipeli said the ROC Market was the best one stop shop, where there was a wide range and great variety of goods and food.
He said in the next few months he would be looking at expanding it to make it a more family- oriented affair, with more places for children.
“The ROC Market started in 2000, I came in 2003 and took over until 2010, when I came back, the market – was rubbish – it was like a garage sale.
“So I would like to grow it and use up this entire block and we would like to have more stuff for children.”
He said the advantage of shopping at the ROC market was because the prices were reasonable.
“We have a large variety from food, flowers, artists, fashions and the prices range from $2 to $150, so there is definitely something for everybody.”
Meanwhile, first-timer Samson Lee could not believe that his products would be sold out before the end of the day.
The young designer said it was just a trial and run and was overwhelmed that he had ran out of supplies.
Mr Lee had vowed to bring something new to the next ROC Market in February.
Head designer of Tree House Boutique Andrew Powell revealed the reason they were able to sell most of their products was because they always brought something new to the market.
