Road upgrades

Road upgrades

I don’t know about you, but I can’t seem to understand why the Fiji Roads Authority and its contractors chose to do road upgrades on a school break.

This coincides with the Hibiscus Festival happening at the Vodafone Arena, the various school competitions at the ANZ Stadium and of course the Methodist church choir competition and Bazaar at Furnival Park, Toorak.

With these events all happening simultaneously, it would have been logical if these road upgrades be moved to another time or even better why not carry these out during the night.

The amount of vehicles we now have on our roads are becoming unrealistic and frustrating especially when it comes to early morning rush hour and in the afternoon when everyone is heading home.

I plead for those in authority to look and try to come up with a better solution because at the end of the day we all use the road system and no one likes being stuck in traffic.
