Rising talents | 29 take part in snooker tourney in Suva

A TOTAL of 29 participants took part in the Narere Buses Six Red Snooker tournament which concluded at the Merchant Club in Suva over the weekend..

The tournament, which ran for three days starting on Friday, saw players from Nausori, Suva, Lautoka, and Sigatoka in attendance.

James Naidu, Vice-president of the Southern Snooker & Billiards Association, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout, noting the excitement and enthusiasm of the players.

“The 6 red tournament attracted 29 players in total, making it a successful event where some of the best players were unexpectedly defeated,” said Naidu.

Notable upcoming talents such as Ropate Morrel and Kushal Krishna, who traveled from Sigatoka to compete, showcased their skills during the tournament.

Naidu extended his gratitude to Narere Buses Limited for sponsoring the competition and supporting the association, as well as the Merchant Club for providing the venue for the event.
