Defence is a major concern for Ajay Trading Rewa as they head into the semi-final of the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT against Stratum Construction Suva FC.

Head coach Rodeck Singh acknowledged the importance of this match and has already begun preparations for the game.

He emphasised the need to work on the team’s defensive capabilities, as they have conceded some easy goals in previous matches.

“It is a big semi-final for the boys. The preparations have started. We know we have a lot of things to work on, preparation-wise,” said Singh.

“The defensive area is a major concern, we have considered some easy goals, also, we have an area attacking third of the free field.

Suva football, their upcoming opponents, are a strong and formidable team.

They have not conceded any goals in the tournament and have shown their ability to score consistently.

“Suva, again, is a good team. They are a formidable side; there are no goals scored against them. They have scored a number of goals.

“For us to topple them and progress to the final is not going to be easy.

“We just have to be on top of our game and make sure that we are doing everything right from the basics to the bigger picture.”

Singh urges the team’s supporters and fans to continue believing in the team, despite any disappointments from the pool stage performances.

He reassures them that the team is committed to giving their best in the upcoming match and aims to make them proud on Sunday afternoon.

Rewa will face Suva FC in the semi-final on Saturday at 4.30pm.
