Rewa won the Sanatan football title for the second year in a row after they defeated Labasa 2-1 at Labasa Sangam College yesterday.
The home team had taken a 1-0 before Rewa fought back with two goals to win the match. Rewa coach Rodeck Singh said the boys had worked hard to achieve the win and retain the title.
“We give thanks to the Almighty for his providence. He gave us the strength we needed,” he said.
Singh said they had at least five district representatives playing for the side.
“We had a mixture of young and old in our team,” he said.
He said they would try to retain the same team for the 63rd Sanatan Convention.
