Revamped clothes store opens

Value City, the largest chain of pre-loved clothing stores in Fiji, achieved yet another milestone this week when it opened its revamped store at Namaka, Nadi.

Known to many for their affordable prices and quality stock that varies from clothing, to toys, bric-a-brac, jewellery, shoes and even kitchenware and electrical appliances, Value City has big plans moving forward.

“This is just the beginning of yet another journey for Value City,” said company managing director Vera Chute.

“From Namaka, we will move on to our other stores to make sure that our shoppers get the very best, not just in our stock, but also in the shopping environment.”

Ms Chute, recipient of the Businesswoman of the Year Award at the 2014 Women in Business Awards said this was a vision that they were all happy to finally achieve.

“The success of Value City is attributed not just to the hardworking staff but also to our customers. So many people have become avid customers of Value City and we wanted to make sure that we give them something to look forward to.”

Some of the changes customers can expect are the new counters, newly-painted walls, a new section for jewellery and a kid’s corner, not to mention new and better quality stock.

“We’ve noticed that many times parents, especially mothers’ come to shop and they find it hard to do so and watch their children at the same time so we’ve included a kid’s corner. Mothers can now shop freely and this is something we’re looking to implement at all our stores.”

For the first time also, Value City had its corporate night for customers in Nadi.
