TAMBUA Sands Beach Resort has introduced a creative sustainability initiative that transforms stained linen into colorful, reusable tie-dye shopping bags, giving these materials a second life while reducing unnecessary waste.

Resort manager Angela Bob said through this upcycling project, stained linen that can no longer be used for guest room operations is carefully repurposed and sewn into practical shopping bags by the resort team.

“Instead of contributing to landfill, these materials are transformed into something useful, sustainable, and memorable,” she said.

“Guests are invited to be part of this environmentally friendly experience by selecting their favourite tie-dye colours and creating their own unique design.

“Each guest can personalise their own reusable shopping bag, taking home not only a colourful keepsake from Fiji but also a reminder of their contribution towards protecting our planet.”
