RADISSON Blu Resort Fiji on Denarau Island recently gifted 10 double bunk beds to government-owned Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) as part of the resort’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities.
Upon receiving information that the school’s Bure Cakau needed new beds, representatives from Radisson Blu Resort Fiji visited the school to identify how they could best assist.
Speaking during the handover on Wednesday, RKS principal Joseva Jale expressed his sincere appreciation to the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji management and team.
“We have waited a long time for assistance, and today our prayers have finally been answered,” Mr Jale said.
“The children will now enjoy comfortable sleep, allowing them to focus better in class and dream bigger. We are truly grateful for this thoughtful donation.”
Parents who attended the presentation also shared their joy and gratitude, saying they were relieved to see that students enjoying new beds to call their own.
Radisson Blu Resort Fiji representative Nikotimasi Delai said the gifts reflected the resort’s belief that every child deserved a safe and comfortable place to rest.
“Our message is simple but important: the comfort and health of our students’ matter,” Mr Delai said.
“A clear mind starts with a rested body. Many of these students live far away from their families while pursuing their education.
“We hope these beds will provide not only comfort, but also support their health, wellbeing and ability to succeed in school,” he said.
The five-star resort on Denarau Island said it remains committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves through meaningful partnerships and initiatives that improve the lives of children and families across Fiji.
