Fiji’s latest boxing sensation Mikaele Ravalaca will do all the talking in the ring as he prepares for his bout in the Bluewater Boxing Promotion on March 2.
Ravalaca will be up against Saimoni Ratu of Naitasiri in the Super Featherweight division.
“It’s a short call for my preparation but I have no issue because I train every day. I’ll figure my opponent out in the ring, and I’ll be ready for anything. I know I can handle anything from anyone. If he makes a mistake for just a second, I will knock him out,” he said confidently.
The Ra boxer who fought in the 2023 IBA World Boxing Championship has also extended his challenge to Ubayd Haider, formerly named Nathan Singh and Mohammed Ali. Haider had indicated in December last year that after fighting Singh, he is definitely taking on Ravalaca next.
“I heard about Nathan Singh (Ubayd Haider) talking about me. During a Lewis Hill promotion, Winston had asked him to fight me, but he doesn’t want to accept it. I’m ready for anyone in Fiji in my category.
“Mohammed Ali said he wants to fight me, that’s good, for me it gives me hope to train hard. I’m ready, I’ve beaten his father and if he wants revenge for his father’s sake then come, fight me!”
The Bluewater Boxing Promotion will be held on March 2 from 5 to 10pm at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
