Rakiraki FC made a strong start to their 2025 FMF Inter District Championship campaign with a convincing 3-1 victory over Dreketi in the Senior Division match played at the Fiji FA Academy grounds in Ba yesterday.
Rakiraki dominated in both attack and defence, maintaining composure throughout the match to secure the win at full time.
In the earlier Senior Division clash, Bua and Lami played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Bua’s goals came from Vilikesa Sowani, Mala Tabuvuya, and Ratu Simione Bage, while Lami’s scorers were Isaac, Suhil Naresh, and Nimish.
Bua captain Josua Raqamu said he was proud of his team’s performance despite limited preparation.
“Thank God for the strength we managed to score three goals. It was a good effort from the boys even though we just had one week of training,” Raqamu said.
