RAIWAI Volleyball Association wants to hand over the baton to the young people to run the association.
Association secretary Filimaina Likutabua said the annual general meeting was scheduled for August 12.
“We are trying to get in young people who can implement new strategies for Raiwai volleyball and raise the calibre which Raiwai was known for in the past,” she said.
“Most of the players are consistent with their game.
“On the AGM agenda will be the election of the office bearers and hopefully handing over to the new committee.”
She said the new season was expected to start next month.
“None of the individuals have come forward yet as they might come on the day of the AGM,” she added.
“There were eight clubs which have 16 men’s and nine women’s teams in the last season and they would be continuing in the season. We are also extending invites to the other clubs which want to come and compete under Raiwai.”
The AGM will start at 5pm at Blue Gas Eagles court in Raiwai.
