Rabuka reveals source of arms and ammunition for 1987 coup

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, who led the 1987 coup, has revealed that the arms and ammunition used in the coup came from Singapore.

Mr Rabuka said this at the commissioning ceremony of the Research Vessel Yau Dikevi at the Novotel Hotel Convention Centre in Lami this morning.

He said the arms and ammunition were brought to Fiji on a vessel acquired by the Fiji Navy.
