Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has received from SODELPA their document of request to reinstate ousted education minister Aseri Radrodro.
However, he said there was no time frame to state when or will the reinstatement happen.
Mr Rabuka said the documents from SODELPA was dropped off at his office by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism Viliame Gavoka.
“He brought a covering letter, signed by the party president, party general secretary, and party leader, DPM Bill Gavoka with the MB resolution and we had a long discussion at the PM’s Office in Government Building this afternoon (yesterday),” he said.
“It conveyed a message that came out of an objective management board meeting with the benefit of clear-headed assessment, devoid of ‘knee-jerk’ staccato comments that came from SODELPA GS and working committee, of the situation within the Coalition Government and proper consideration of the machinery of governance and the application of the rule of law.
“The SODELPA management board has appealed to me to deal favourably with Mr Radrodro.
“I shall consider my actions, moving forward, with a balanced view of Coalition discipline, obedience, loyalty and what the required effects of corrective disciplinary action on a member of an organisation should have on the organisation.”
