PRIME Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says he is looking forward to contributing to and developing the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF).
Speaking at his welcoming event as chair of PIF on Wednesday, he also commended the leaders of the past.
“We owe it to them to forge this unity, and work forward from here,” Mr Rabuka said.
“We will stronger resolve and strengthen the region and our commitment to various things that are on the program.
“And together address the common threat to our very survival here in the Pacific.
I promise that the government I lead while I’m chair will be committed to our collective goals and mission, and our vision for a great united Pacifi c region.
“I call on government leaders of the Pacifc to come together and move forward in unity.”
