STUDENTS of Queen Victoria School with staff of the Ministry of Fisheries and Ministry of Forests planted coastline tree species and mangroves, while at the same time cleaned up the Nukuvuto Beach.

The two ministries are working in collaboration to achieve the Plant Four Million Trees Initiative by 2022.

They also staged a clean-up campaign on the beach in a bid to create more awareness on plastics and its effects when improperly disposed of.

Students were reminded of the need to take proper care of their environment.

A full coverage of this event will be in next week’s edition of Kaila! and The Sunday Times.
