Abuse allegation
A teacher who allegedly sexually abused a child has been transferred to another school. The Minister for Education thinks it’s OK to transfer the teacher than suspending him as investigations continue. Mr Minister, what are the chances of the teacher repeating the offence in another school?

I refer to Simon Hazelman’s letter in this paper dated August 4, “Religion and politics”. I hope he can elaborate more for us yearning to learn more on the difference between them and the difference between church versus the State. But the good point in this, he will lead us to discuss more on the word secular and its interpretation in our Constitution. Go Fiji go.

Nightclub entry
While approaching the entrance of a nightclub in the Capital City, I was told that I could not go in since I was wearing thongs. As we left, a young white guy who was wearing the exact same thongs as mine was allowed in without being stopped by bouncers. I wondered what the difference was, then I realised that we were not the same in skin colour.
