“We will do the talking on the field”. These are the words of Nadi Jets manager Epeli Qoro ahead of their crucial clash against Nadroga in the INKK Farebrother Trophy challenge tomorrow.
The Stallions have managed to keep hold onto the trophy after three weeks of intense challenges against Namosi, Naitasiri and Suva.
The Etonia Naba-coached side face Skipper Cup champions Nadi in their final battle at Lawaqa Park. Nadi coach Cohan Politini while speaking to Fiji Rugby media said they would give their best for the match.
“We have prepared as best we could.
“Our disadvantage was that we had four weeks of no rugby, although we played a warm-up match against Ba Rugby.”
Politini added his side lost five players from their starting 15 in the past two weeks because of players pursuing overseas contracts.
“We will have one or two new faces for the game as we have had to rely on our development team.
“We have always held either the Farebrother Trophy or Skipper Cup in the past four years and we are gunning to take both trophies this year.
“Nothing feels more better than the Farebrother trophy in hand and we would like to have everyone cheer us on this Saturday.”
Nadroga Rugby Union manager Sikeli Basiyalo said preparations were going on against Nadi.
“Nadi is a very good side. A champion team and holders of the Skipper Cup and we hope fans come out in good numbers to support the boys,” said Basiyalo.
The match kicks-off at 3pm.
