Qauia youths assist in campaign to protect the environment

YOUTHS of Qauia settlement, yesterday braved the scorching heat to assist Habitat for Humanity Fiji’s clean-up campaign in Lami.

NGO volunteer-programme coordinator, Paulina Rauto said it was important engage young people in such campaigns to protect the environment.

“We started picking up rubbish near Lami Town right to Suvavou at around 9.30,” she said.

“They have volunteered to assist us in this campaign and we will register them for our Habitat Young Leaders Build.
