The Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Pita Wise has voluntarily resigned from the Civil Service citing personal reasons.
This was confirmed to this newspaper by Public Service Commission chairman, Luke Rokovada.
Mr Wise had been Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister since January, 2023 and previously served as PS in previous administrations.
He had previously worked for Government for more than 30 years.
