CAPTAIN Cook Cruises has created a new package deal primarily for those intending to tie the knot.
The Tivua Island Proposal Package promises customers a chance for a romantic setting on a remote island surrounded by white sandy beaches as an ideal venue where marriage proposals could be conducted.
The romantic adventure begins as soon as couples set sail on the magnificent tall ship Ra Marama or the luxurious sleek sailing catamaran Fiji One which will venture out on a 90-minute cruise to the tiny tranquil island of Tivua.
Upon arrival, they will experience a traditional welcoming kava ceremony before being whisked away to a deserted part of the beach where brides-to-be will discover a “message in a bottle”, lying at the water’s edge and containing a personalised proposal message.
Lovebirds can then celebrate their engagement over a tropical buffet lunch and a bottle of sparkling wine in a private bure on the beach.
They can also spend the rest of the day on popular floating bar and restaurant Cloud Nine, go on a guided herbal medicine nature walk, snorkel, go glass bottom boating over magnificent reefs and clam gardens escorted by a marine biologist or try a romantic kayak or paddle board around the island.
The Tivua Island Proposal Package departs daily from Denarau Marina at 10am and returns at 5pm and comes competitively priced at $583 per couple — which includes transfers from Nadi and Denarau Hotels.
