AN investigation has been launched by the Department of Civil Aviation after an incident involving a Cessna C150 aircraft belonging to the Advanced Aviation Flying School which suffered a nose wheel collapse yesterday morning.
In a statement, Government confirmed the incident occurred at the Nadi airport about 8.30am when the lone pilot attempted to land.
“A crash alarm was activated by the control tower and the AFL Rescue Fire Services immediately responded to the alarm,” the statement confirmed.
“The pilot was taken to Namaka Health Centre for observation and was cleared by the doctor on duty.
“No domestic or international schedules have been affected.”
