Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese left the country this morning.
He is now headed for USA and will travel onwards to Canada for the G7 Summit.
Australia media reports this morning state Mr Albanese has undertaken to provide another patrol boat to Fiji during bilateral talks with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka last night.
“Australia will always be a reliable partner to the Pacific, and that starts with listening and working together,” said Mr Albanese.
“At the G7, I’ll work with world leaders on issues that matter to our region – climate change, energy security, and free and fair trade.”
“These issues matter to the Pacific, and Australia recognises Fiji’s critical leadership role in our region’s unity and stability.”
