The Office of the Prime Minister is looking to hire a Press Secretary,
The person will report to the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, states a vacancy advertisement.
The person appointed will be required to manage and coordinate all media communications and its activities, including media contacts for the Prime Minister and the Office.
The appointee will also act as spokesperson for the executive branch of Government especially with regards to the Prime Minister, seniors’ aides and executives as well as government policies.
The vacancy states the Press Secretary will act as the formal spokesperson and media liaison for the Prime Minister, develops and implements media, communications, and public relations strategies for the Prime Minister, remains abreast of current legislative and non-legislative issues about which the Prime Minister may be questioned and evaluates current events and media reports in the district and the nation for their impact on the Prime Minister.
The person will also be required to provides ideas and advice on the effect the Prime Minister actions and legislative activities have in the media, oversees the creation and distribution of the Prime Minister newsletters and questionnaires and will need to maintain a good working relationship with the Prime Minister, staff, media, and constituents.
The position carries a salary of $64,556.35 – $82,232.50 per annum.
