Prepare for disruptions in water supply next weekend

WAF crew members replacing a DN600 water trunk main in 2019 – SUPPLIED

A large part of Suva will face water cuts next weekend, states the Water Authority of Fiji.’

This is due to the installation a new DN600 line valve for the Nasinu Reservoir inlet. These works are part of WAF’s ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and efficiency of water supply systems in the Nasinu area.

WAF states planned works will involve closing off of the DN600 Line valve that supplies both Nasinu Reservoir and Flagstaff Reservoir. It will also involve closing off of the DN600 Line valve that supplies Flagstaff Reservoir.

Areas affected between Saturday and Sunday next weekend are:

Nasinu Reservoir Supply – Kinoya, Laucala Beach, Vatuwaqa, Raiwasa, Raiwaqa, Raiwai, Caubati, Lower Cunningham

Flagstaff Reservoir Supply – Fletcher Road, Grantham Road, Laucala Bay Area, Vesi Street, Domain, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Suva CBD
