NATIONAL rep Roneel Prakash is all geared up to take out the South Seas AAMIRA Restaurant-sponsored 18 holes Two-men stroke Ambrose event at the Lautoka Golf course today.
He said the event would be an ideal buildup for the upcoming Fiji amateur Foursome championship to be played at the Fiji Golf Club tomorrow.
Prakash who will team up with fellow national rep in Suva said he wanted to first stamp his mark in Lautoka to set the platform for the Suva meet.
“The Lautoka event is getting tougher and I could not wish for a better build-up than battling against top Lautoka golfers in readiness for the Suva meet,” he said.
“I am teaming up with fellow national rep Olaf Allen Jr and our mission is to break the record set by Raymond Singh and James Krishna who have won the foursome title seven times.
“I am sure as defending champions and having played at the Vatuwaqa Golf course two weeks ago I am confident of as positive outings.
“Also I am looking forward to form a formidable combination with LGC chairman of trustees Raymond Singh as his playing partner and fellow national rep Anuresh Chandra has migrated to New Zealand.
“I am enjoying the Lautoka course and a win will motivate me to do well in Suva,” he added.
