Police probe intolerance

THE Fiji Police Force is investigating a case of vandalism being used as the medium of support for a political party in Lautoka.

Bus proprietor Zain Dean, awoke on Wednesday to find his car had been spray painted with words of support for a party.

“All initial investigations have been conducted by police and the reports have been referred to the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption,” a statement from police spokeswoman, Ana Naisoro, confirmed.

In a separate incident, a political party banner that was put up along Vitogo Pde was removed by an unknown person, allegedly between Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Commissioner of Police Ben Groenewald has repeatedly urged the public to avoid issues of political intolerance.
